What I've been up to

I'm working crappy hours -- haven't gotten home before 7 pm all week. I started ripping out the AV ribbed sweater that I finished, oh, a year ago. The damn thing took like 13 skeins of 1824 wool and the fabric is really nice, but the finished item is terrible, so I've been planning to rip it out and make a cardigan with the great yarn. It has the potential to be great, and I'll be damned if I don't get it to that point. I couldn't really afford the yarn purchase when I made it so I feel even more determined to make it work. And considering I have much more of a chance to get this into shape that the other splurge yarn (the AV chunky wool disaster), this one's getting done first.

I ripped out about 6 skeins worth over the last few days, and have them hanked up and ready to wash. I may dye these, as I'm sort of sick of the neutrals that somehow ended up ruling my yarn stash in the past year. If I don't buy anything else in a oatmeal/beige color in the next year, I'll be happy.

Cast on and did half of the first Davos sleeve. We're supposed to get even more snow tomorrow and friday, so I figure I'll need this sweater. Yick.
