On Saturday I started my new part-time job at Ben and Oliver, a bath supplies company. I worked all weekend and today and I'm now confident enough to sell all the products. It's funny how this kind of selling doesn't seem so "selling" as compared to JCrew. I think i's because most people are not familiar with our products, plenty of people haven't heard of bath bombs at all. I feel like I'm just informing them of what they're looking at, as opposed to trying to get them to buy yet another pair of jeans. It's fun and I love demonstrating the stuff, my hands have never been as moisturized. Plus the stuff's really good so it doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind.
I finally sewed up Heath, but I haven't woven in the ends yet. I have a few rows of the collar left to do and the weaving in, and then I'm done. I also finished ALL the random odd-and-ends yarn! I can't believe it. All that RH and other random old stuff is GONE. Wow. I have three new rugs for the kitchen and for beds for Pepper. He loves to lay on these rugs.
I also started a shawl/poncho design but I'm no sure if I'll proceed with it, I think I'd like to get a thinner yarn. I'm still training at my full-time gig so I can't yet knit at work, but in about a week or so I'll be able to sit around getting paid to knit. I can't wait!
it’s what we all aspire to: finishing up all the odd yarn!
I need to try the rug thing.
