So aparently if I think I'm making an effort to post more, I end up posting LESS . . .

Jennifer: I did start the sleeve in the round and when/if I do the coat I will do it in the round and steek it. I agree, doing it flat like written is crazy!
Jan: The yarn is Diamusee and the color # is 38. It is much softer than Noro, no VM at all. It fuzzes a bit and looks like it will felt like crazy. I love it and everyone loves the scarf in the store.
Shannita: OMG I cannot believe that was you at Jennifer Knits!!! "Small world" doesn't cover it!
Now, on with the show . . .
The store has been super busy and we are dealing with some issues, but I'm still having a great time. I have met some amazing women, and I love watching everyone's projects progress! It's so great to help someone achieve a goal they thought was beyond their grasp, and I'm still totally in love with fiber and color as always. My favorite part of a project is and I think will always be the excitement of picking out the yarn and pattern and color, and at a job like this I get to do that a million times over every day. I'm so happy!!!
In my own knitting news. . . I went to Stitches East on the Sunday it ended and have to say I was dissapointed. I think the vendor turnout wasn't as big as in past years, I didn't see LanaKnits or Simply Knit (I know they changed ownership but I always looked forward to their booth). I only shopped for about an hour and a half and got two sweater's worth of sale yarn. After this year I will think twice about going again next year. It's just not as exciting as it used to be. I wonder if it's because I work in a yarn shop? ;o)
I ended up not going to Rhinebeck b/c I was too tired. I'm working 6 days a week and the idea of driving for 2 hours just didn't appeal on my one day off, you know?
Currently working on a shrug from the latest Tahki book, in wonderful Kashmir yarn, which is a cashmere/silk blend and is just drool-worthy. Will post pictures later . . . I've taken to carrying my digital camera around everywhere with me lately!

Well, THERE you are! Was wondering if we were going to have to send out the dogs. ;)
Just out of curiosity, do you think fewer vendors showed up at Stitches because of disenchantment with the owners of the show? How was the visitor turnout? I worked at a yarn shop when I first went to Stitches and I still felt like I’d died and gone to yarn heaven. Nowadays I probably would pass out from sheer fiber excitement. (Of course I nearly did that when we were in New York!)
