I'm not too sure. . .

Crazyraglan

(my eyes were closed in this picture and there was no battery left, that's why my head's cut off)Thank you to everyone for the nice comments on the sweater before I finished it. . . but I'm still not sure. I'm going to rip out that bit of green at the raglan seam and do the buttonholes differently, this isn't meant to be worn open as shown. I'm going to get some brown buttons. I'm going to keep weaving in those ends. The fit is good (I may have finally learned to make things smaller than I think they should be!), the sleeves are good.

But will I actually WEAR it?

I think it makes me look fat. . .

hi! i’m new to your blog (just followed a link from KBTHOF). i love the top and i’ll bet it feels luxurious when wearing it too! i don’t think the stripes are making you look bad — you’re probably just not used to them!

enjoy your sweater — you’ve achieved an amazing fit!

I think it looks really good. Actually, I like it a lot open at the raglan seam like that. I would add the buttons to have options, but I would probably end up wearing it open most of the time. You get such an interesting shape to the neckline that way.

I definitely do NOT think it’s fattifying…the brightest colors are at your bust and hips and the more neutral colors at the waist…the brights really POP, and the waist receeds. it’s really, really cute. I can’t wait to see it with the buttons on.

I think it’s pretty darn cute. Don’t frog it yet! I say give it a test run and then, if you still don’t like it you can frog it.

You’re nuts! I love it and it looks great on you. I do agree that buttons on that open seam would look darn cute though.

I think it’s really cute and it fits you like a dream. It really looks good and doesn’t make you look fat at all. I love the colors you chose to stripe it with, the greens and blacks help tone it down. Good job!

I like it a lot, but then we have sorta different tastes, and I’ve been on a bright/mismatched colors kick recently. At this point, it’s worth finishing, isn’t it? Even if you don’t like it right now, you might in a month or two, plus all those shortish lengths would be annoying if you frogged. ;)
