I got in!
Remember Tramonto?
I submitted her to the Juried Knitting Exhibition at the Kiana Malekzadeh Gallery, and today I found out that I got in! I'm so excited!!!
You may have read about this event in the Fall issue of VK or in other places (I know the BAKG newsletter told of it this summer). Basically, they are doing a show for original knitted works, and you had to submit photos and be accepted. Accepted pieces will be displayed at the gallery during the show, and a "best in show" and maybe other prizes will be awarded. In addition, the pieces will be for sale during the show.
The show dates are December 10-21, with an opening event on Saturday, December 10th from 12-8pm (which I unfortunately cannot attend because I'll be in England). I can't wait to see what everyone else's pieces look like! I was so excited when I first found out about this event that I started knitting immediately, and now that I'm going to be in the show I'm even more excited! I just wish my parents could see it, they'll be in Brazil so they can't go. I will have to send them pictures!
This is so exciting! I may have trouble falling sleep tonight. . .

Congratulations Ivete, that is so awesome! I do recall reading about that and Tramonto is an excellent original knitting design to be in this exhibit. Will you get to see any of the exhibit? Not sure how long your trip to England will be for.

Beautiful shawl (isn’t it a poncho or does it just look that way from the pic?). My piece pictured here http://janethornley.com/exhibitions.php was also accepted. Isn’t it exciting? I’ll be there for the Saturday event. Sorry that I’ll miss meeting up with you. Jane
