So I'm back home after travelling for a LONG time. My flight was delayed 1.5 hours, then my little TV screen didn't work and my overhead light wouldn't turn OFF. . . I couldn't get an overnight flight so I had a 6:30pm departure, which ended up being delayed until 8pm, which means I didn't get home until midnight NYC time, AKA 5am to me. The afore-mentioned overhead light issue meant I got no sleep, so I literally stumbled up the stairs and straight to bed when I got home.
I was so tired I couldn't figure out how much to tip the cab driver. I may have given him a $20 tip.
About my trip:
Malta is unbelieveably gorgeous, here's another picture for you to enjoy:
That was our hotel pool, with our hotel casino in the background. This is one of the few pictures I shot myself which actually came out nicely, Adam's the photographer in the couple. . .
We spent the perfect amount of time travelling and chilling at Cambridge, had a great seder with friends, ate great food (no, really! we finally figure out how to eat relatively well in England!), and most of all sat around doing nothing. A lot of computer games were played, let's leave it at that.
The only cloud on my horizon is my body. I mentioned I was sick to my stomach in Matla -- I spent 2 miserable days in pain there, then it went away. Then on Wednesday in Cambridge, I drank a bit too much and that triggered another stomach problem, complete with being unable to eat anything for 24 hours. I have never been that sick before, it was really scary. I coudn't even swallow a sip of coffee without it coming back up! (TMI, I'm sure, sorry!) And my stomach still isn't normal, I can't eat very much without feeling nauseous. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow, this is too much.
But enough about that! You're here for the knitting, right?
Well, I'm sorry to say there isn't much to report. I was so sick the last 4 days that I didn't knit a single stitch. Again. I hope this problem goes away or I may never knit again! (ok that might have been a little overdramatic)
Off to run the blogs, happy holiday week for all who celebrate!
