New stuff!

Thanks for all the good wishes, my knee is much better and the cold's almost gone, thankfully.

And I feel even better because guess what I got today!

Koigu Book and KPPPM stash

(the Koigu book in front of (most) of my KPPPM stash)

That's right, the Koigu book came in! It's a really gorgeous book with great pictures of their process and tons of patterns. No new patterns, unfortunately, but many of the old favorites (Charlotte's Web is in there, the Oriental Jacket, the Midnight Rapture set, etc, no sock patterns though, just fyi). I flipped through it quickly in the store but I can't wait to sit down and read through the intro and essay in the front of the book, before the patterns start.

This is one of those books that I can't really explain why I had to have it, I just did. I mean, I don't usually knit from patterns, and I've seen all of these before and passed up on buying them (except for the Charlotte's Web), so certainly that's no why I couldn't pass it up. I guess it's because I'm nuts for Koigu and I had to get the book simply because it exists.

In the acknowledgments section Maie thanks "the Koigu ambassadors" for encouraging and supporting them from the beginning.

I guess I know what to call myself now.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Who needs an Ace bandage and cold medicine when there is Koigu?
