I was on TV!
There is a segment of Live at Five on WNBC (Channel 4 for all you New Yorkers) called Wednesday's Child, where every week they feature a child who's up for adoption. This week's featured child loves crafts so they wanted to teach her how to knit, so they contacted String. Last week they filmed the segment, and I taught Shanta how to knit on camera! It aired last night at 5pm and will be on again this weekend. You can read the article and watch the segment online on the WNBC website.
I was really nervous and it was really early, but the segment really came out well! Shanta was so excited when she got the hang of it, it was really sweet. How wonderful! That segment always brought a tear to my eyes when I lived in NYC.
