Winter Storm

I just spent 20 minutes trying to get a picture of the tiny, tiny snowflakes that are coming down. Clearly my point-and-shoot digicam combined with my very basic photography skills aren't enough to capture tiny snowflakes. So please imagine a picture here of tons and tons of very, very small snowflakes, falling impressively and actually sticking. I reached my hand out and it's quite possible that they're actually very small pieces of ice/hail, but I don't know. I'm extra glad I have the day off today to spend with Adam and do laundry!

I've been knitting like crazy but I can't show you. Suffice it to say I've knit half a shawl in fingering weight yarn in under 5 days, and yesterday more yarn arrived for another project. I've updated my yarn database and added a few extra fields: I'm now keeping track of cost per ball and cost per project, and let's just say I've already spent more money this year that I thought (ah, denial).

Speaking of which, I would have bought even more yarn yesterday if Cookie's yarns had been available for purchase! Don't you think she's being such a tease, showing us yarns we can't buy?
