Wacky, wacky dreams

I haven't been sleeping well the last couple of weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's due to the combination of crazy holiday schedules, impending changes as Adam heads back to school this Spring, and my surgery which is scheduled for next Wednesday.

Last night, I had two very vivid, VERY strange dreams, one of which is marginally related to the blog/knitting. They're both kind of funny so I thought I'd share them with all of you!

Surgery-related dream: I woke up this morning LIVID at my sister, because I had just woken up from a dream in which she had caused me to miss my surgery by being late (as she so often is IRL). The dream was very involved and took place in a completely unknown house, in a universe where I would have to drive to the hospital (clearly not the case, the surgery is in Manhattan) and where my cell phone distinctly looked like the TI-82 calculator we all used in high school. While most of the dream was completely strange, it's kind of amazing how angry I still was even 10 minutes after waking up!

Marginally blog-related dream: Earlier in the night I woke up from a dream in which I had gotten two notes through my Flickr account. Now, while dreaming of getting a message through an online site is strange enough, the CONTENTS of the first one is what's of particular note here: It was titled "Your mistakes" and was from someone who'd checked out my Flickr photos and wanted to let me know what I was doing wrong that was causing all my photos to come out so crappy. I distincly remember the note saying not to use the flash and to stop taking so many pictures in closeup mode, and in my dream my reaction was "well I know those things already! thanks for nothing!"

How weird is that!?!!?!

Stress-related dreams are always so weird and interesting.
