So happy it's not raining right now!

Unfortunately we spent the weekend at the shore sitting inside, watching the rain alternate between drizzling, pouring, and thunderstorming. The closest we got to "beach" was walking down to look at the beach . . . so unfortunately  our "beach weekend" was a complete bust. It's been raining for 2 weeks here and I'm really sick of it! Right now it's not raining, but it's not sunny either and it looks like it might rain at any moment. I realized yesterday that we haven't even installed our bedroom A/C unit yet, and it's already the end of June! What the heck!?

The only thing that benefited from the raining beach weekend was my shawl! I'm already on ball 3 of the full size version of Luluzinha, here's how it looks as of this morning:

This shawl's going to be a bit bigger than most of my full-size shawls, I want to do something with the edging that requires more repeats so it'll need to be bigger. I plan to wear this shawl to a wedding in Vermont in mid-July, so I better get it done soon!

Oh, and since a couple of you asked, here's the rest of the shawlette size in the gorgeous KPPPM multi that I posted on Friday:

It was really overcast this morning when I took this picture so the colors had to be juiced up a bit, sorry if they look all weird on your monitor! The shawl came out great, I'm planning to do the finishing on both this weekend . . .

Oh, and I'm in the laying out and proofing stage of the Leila pattern now! If there's sun this weekend I'll release it on Monday!
