The Super Simple Slouch (aka the S3 Hat!) pattern uses two stands of sock yarn held together to give it a nice drape while still keeping the hat cushy and warm. This unisex hat pattern features the modern slouchy fit that’s everywhere on the streets and runways these days. Designed to be worn low on the forehead, this hat will fully cover your ears and head to keep you toasty warm through the end of winter.
The hat is knit in the round on a circular and/or double pointed needles. The finishing is about as minimal as it comes: just weave in the two ends and you’re done!
Size and Finished Measurements:
To fit head size: 19″-21″ (21″-23″)
Finished Measurements: 22″(24″)
Gauge: 17 sts and 29 rows = 4″ in stockinette stitch with yarn held double on size US #8/4.50mm needles
Materials: 3 skeins of standard sock yarn, approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz. The brown hat was knit with Shibui Sock in the color Bark.
