Hey, thanks for the tips. I just cast on for a new project last night (long-tail cast on of course!) and am still knitting the ribbing at the bottom, so this is particularly useful information for me right now.

Ah, it’s nice to read the thoughts of someone who cares about the cast-on. My long-time favorite is long-tail. I will ‘clip’ this post to study later, since I’m sure I can learn something from it. However, prefer to match the knits and purls with the cast-on so that it matches the stitch pattern (like Dawn–love that tute!).
It doesn’t interest you, I know.
