Yes I understand – it is the concept of keeping something for a rainy day. Unfortunately rainy day just does not go with that glorious gold colour. How about Gold Standard, or Gold Stocks.

The color of the yarn and the concept of money/richness make me think of gold coins, and the old wedding rhyme (“something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in your shoe”). I’ll look forward to your pattern whatever it is!
