So as of this morning, I no longer work at the law firm. It was a completely mutual decision, and I practically skipped out of there. But now I have to worry about finding another "real" job -- I can survive off Starbucks and Handknits shifts, but probably just barely. Monday I start "pounding the pavement," and I'm fairly certain I couldn't be doing it at a much worse time. So spending money's going to be tight for the next few weeks/months. Which is what the yarn stash is there for! If I don't buy any more yarn AND can't find a job (and therefore have hours of knitting time), I can probably knit from my stash for the next 5 months non-stop. I believe that when most people speak of their "nest egg" it isn't made of wool and wool blends. . . ;o)
If anyone knows of legal assistant or bookkeeping positions in the NYC area, put in a word for me!
