Retro Prep

So I finally started Retro Prep on Friday at work. I had been carrying the yarn around for a few days but work has been so hectic lately that casting on stitches was not an option. The 75th CBS anniversary is this weekend and we're providing all the transportation for all the stars, so most of our cars are booked and entertainment calls always take much longer than regular calls, so everyone's been kind of stressed. I got the weekend off by switching with Emma, though, so now I'm in NYC going to watch a show with my parents.

Anyway, I was talking about the sweater. I'm making it in the middle size in the yarn called for (horrors!), in the teal blue shade, which I absolutely love. And it's not green! Which is excellent since the last, like, 6 projects I worked on are green, and I have yarn for at least 3 more sweaters in greens. People at work were starting to ask just how many green sweaters one person needs. . .

I also managed to reknit Rich's Gryffindor scarf. I had already made it once last fall, but I made it flat to be seamed and in the process knit the stripes too tall. It just didn't look "right." So I ripped it all out and in one week of work-time knitting got it reknit, this time in the round and with less tall stripes. It looks good but it needs a serious wash/block as it's rather crinkly.

Off to try to get tickets, I'll post about Halloween later.

I like that retro prep pattern. Could you tell me what magazine that pattern is in? Thanks.
