See that? It looks like the top of a sweater, right? You see where the needle stopped, mid-back-neck-bind off? I was supposed to bind off 24 back neck stitches, but when I got to this point and had only done 13, I knew something was wong. There aren't enough stitches left. So I go back to my schematic where I had written out the key elements to my pattern, and double check. Yep, it says 24 right there. So I think, maybe I did the math wrong. So I double check. Yep, 6x4=24. So that can't be wrong.
Then it hits me. After recounting the beginning, before the armhole bind off, I know the horrible truth:
I cast on 62 instead of 72.

And I was so enjoying how the yarn is creating a kind of argyle! Pout.
The WORST! At least you are using what appears to be delicious yarn. If I were there, I would probably try to eat it ;-)
What is that yarn you are tempting my appetite with?
so this should be a sign for you to take a break from your knitting for 24 hours? is that at all possible?
:-)

I feel for you. The argyle pattern was way cool!
