I'm only a few rows away from the armhole shaping! Woo! I guess that's what happens when you diligently knit on only one project at a time . . . good to know.
I knit the entire dress (except for the lace panels) in the round to this point, but of course when I get to the armhole bind offs I will have to knit back and forth to the shoulders. At the beginning I thought my gauge was off, but after obsessively checking it every few inches, it turns out I'm getting stitch AND row gauge exactly! That never happens. I decided to make the dress 1.5" shorter than the pattern calls for, but that's my only alteration other than knitting it in the round.
At this pace I will have a finished dress by the weekend! I'm on vacation this week and I plan to get a lot of finishing done and off the to-be-finished pile: the Punta del Este pullover, the oversize pullover, Nicole, the Ab Fab, and who knows what else.
I haven't been very inspired lately to blog and I fully blame Ravelry. I end up spending so much time looking at projects there that by the time I'm done reading blogs I don't have the energy to write my own. I've been really stressed out lately and not feeling very creative/interesting so I'm sure that has something to do with it, too. Hopefully this week will garner new fresh material! If nothing else I'll have FO shots to post . . .
