July's New Colors

Chiagu.com July's New Colors

These are July's new colors (from left to right): P224, P330, and P950. They are 15% off until July 22nd.

P224-134
When I saw P224, dye lot 134, for the first time my mind immediately thought "Cherry blossoms!". There are beautiful ranges of pinks with touches of red. It is gorgeous on its own (shawls anyone?) or paired with navy or with cream for a striped scarf.

P330-86
Initially P330, dye lot 86, reminded me of fall colors but as I walked around my neighborhood I saw very tall sunflowers in the exact yellow, gold, and brown/black of this color. Perhaps a ribbed top that takes you from late summer into and throughout the fall season?

P950-87
And P950, dye lot 87, reminds me of the beach.  It's not a white sand beach but a tan beach with bits of color all over.  I can see this as a lightweight, loose top - maybe a v-neck with sleeves that go past the wrist.

Don't forget to read the next post - we are introducing some other Koigu products!

August Yarn Update

Posted on August 13, 2015 | 0 Comments

Here are 6 colors of Koigu KPPPM that will peak your interest as we approach the end of summer:

P738 - The famous Koigu stippling technique is shown off here, in orange and green.  Looks messy right? However this palette knits up in a subtle way.  Fun for baby items and I definitely see an adult pair of socks.

P353 - At first glance this is an orange and rust colored hank of yarn.  But when you spend a little bit of time with it you realized there's this gorgeous mauve violet that is running through the yarn.  The violet gives this color way unexpected depth. It would be a spectacular shawl!

P219 - Can a color be described as "crayons in the mud"? Most of the colors are green, brown, orange and gold The colors are darker and it seems to tell me that fall is approaching.  A baby blanket or perhaps a circle shawl? It would be terrific as part of a linen stitch scarf.

P151 - The mauve pink, blue and green combine to make a quiet color combination.  And that makes it perfect for that person that doesn't like "loud". Think about a scarf or cowl. Or a beautiful sweater!

P419 - The return of an oldie - the blues of P419 has been in the shop before.  I found a few more skeins and thought Chiagu fans would like buy some more. It will also make an appearance in a few yarn kits.

P810 - my personal favorite!  I am a jewel tone girl and I love bright rich colors.  The blues, reds, and purples are stunning. If I were to knit this color I would definitely make something that I can look at all day long.

I hope to have another shop update in about 2 weeks.  Thanks for reading!
