Chiagu.com brings you knitting patterns designed for your favorite hand-dyed yarns. Show off the gorgeous colors of Koigu, Madelinetosh, and Noro with my patterns and kits.Hi, and welcome to Chiagu.com! I'm Ivete Tecedor and I've been knitting since I was 7 years old, and designing almost as long. I remember one of my first "original designs" was a skirt with suspenders for one of my baby dolls . . . I've come a long way since then!
My knitting experience includes over 4 years working in local knitting stores, 3+ of which were spent running a store in NYC. During those years I taught literally hundreds of people how to knit! I got to the point where I could spot a dropped stitch from across the room.
My knitting passion is definitely yarn. My stash is kind of crazy because I have a very hard time turning down beautiful yarn! My designs usually showcase gorgeous yarns, whether they are handpainted, semi-solid, or just plain beautiful solids. Koigu is easily my favorite yarn, which will come as no surprise to you if you've been reading my blog for any length of time!
Now that you know a little bit more about me, check out my knitting patterns (including a few free knitting patterns I give away), read my blog, and sign up for the mailing list! I hope you like what you see. If you ever need to get in touch with me, you can use the contact form on this site or email me at info[at]chiagu.com.
Happy knitting!
Ivete

What is this?
Chiagu is an online knitting pattern source selling downloadable PDF instructions for our original handknitting and crochet designs.
What does "Chiagu" mean?
The word itself doesn't mean anything. It's a phonetic spelling of the Brazilian name "Tiago," which for years has been my (Ivete's) favorite name. I just love the way it sounds!
