New Interweave

I also got the new Interweave at the LYS today, and I have to say I'm not impressed. I may make the Tartan Jacket, but I'm not in love with it by any stretch of the word. The all-over lace sweater was also nice, but I'll never make that.

There is someting addictive about magazines, I think. I can't look at a new issue without buying it (usually), but I never end up making anything from it! And even now, when I want to really focus on my own designs and really rarely work from a pattern at all, I still can't NOT buy the magazines!!

The one positive aspect is all the advertisements. I've found new online vendors, new gadgets, and completely new lines of yarn by looking at the ads. And we all know how the knitting industry is in a boom right now, seems like there's new companies all over the place. But how to find them? If only the front sections of the magazines where they cover "what's new" weren't so blatantly bought . . .
