The design ideas have been flowing freely around here lately, and it's all my poor hands can do to keep up! Here's what I've been working on this week:
This is a baby blanket design that just sprang into my head the minute I opened my order from the Loopy Ewe and saw what the Dream in Color Classy looked like. I ordered a colorway called "Punky Fuschia" but what arrived bears no resemblance at all to the photo on the Loopy site. It also has no relation to the color "fuschia," at least not in my opinion! I would describe this color as rose with lavender accents. Let's just say this is a color I can't wear without looking half-dead . . . so I knew the sweater design I'd planned to make with this yarn was not going to happen. I briefly considered sending it back, but the more I looked at the color the more it begged to be knit up into a baby blanket, and I had a stitch pattern in mind immediately!
I don't happen to know any babies to give this blanket to after I finish it, but seeing how all my friends were getting married over the last 2-3 years, it's only a matter of time before someone announces a pregnancy, right?
