New lace pullover design

A few days ago the weather turned suddenly to summer. It was 90 degrees here today! I started imagining a lacy pullover to throw over t-shirts and tank tops in the mornings and evenings while it's still cool out, and I went stash-diving. Dug up some old OLD yarn I bought on clearance after it had been discontinued and started swatching.

What you see above is the blocked swatch for the stitch pattern I ended up settling on. It's knit on size 6 needles using Filatura di Crosa Trilly, a cashmere/silk blend that was discontinued at least 5 years ago. The yarn is really lovely to knit, has a subtle sheen, and is very soft but still has body. In other words, I'll never understand why it was discontinued! I'm glad I was able to snag a bag of it on clearance and will have a great pullover to wear for years to come. The color didn't photograph very well but it's a gorgeous shade of chocolate brown, nice and warm and will go with almost everything in my closet. I've already knit several inches of the body and it's coming along very quickly due to the easy stitch pattern. I can even knit this lace in the dark! If I don't get distracted I should have this finished in no time at all . . .

I look forward to the pullover design, I have some cotton yarn in a beautiful lime green that would be perfect.
