In a semi-solid mood

That's a shot of the yarn sitting on my desk at work, taken sometime last week while I put out post-launch fires.

The two skeins in the front are Madelinetosh DK in the colors Posy (the pink) and Tern. When they arrived the pink wasn't exactly what I had expected, it's more blue than the orangy-pink I expected, but it's still pretty. Together with the grey it will turn into a striped infinity scarf I'm designing and knitting for The Loopy Ewe's Camp Loopy project. The idea is so cute and fun that I just had to join in!

The red ball is some cashmere blend sock yarn that I got a Purl, but I can't remember the brand name now! It's a yarn I've never tried before that I had been flirting with in the shop for about 6 months, and it's even nicer than I expected. I'm knitting a Runner's Watchcap out of it and already planning to buy enough for a lightweight cardigan for myself sometime this fall . . .

More later, I have a new gadget and some knitting to show you! And now that our marathon work project is over, I'll hopefully be able to post here more than only once a week or so . . . and get a new pattern or two up for sale, too. Crossing my fingers!
