And as of this morning we can add the NYC tow office as another place I've knit in public. That's not a nice place to have to be, but it was my fault I overslept and left my car parked where it was.
I broke up with the boy on Saturday and am having the usual hard time of it. I don't much feel like knitting or posting so that's part of why it's been quiet around here. All my friends keep taking me out to "get my mind off it" but it's really not working. =(
I like what Stephanie said…and for my two cents I’d like to add “Better to go through than around…because whatever you circumvent comes back and bites you on the ass.” I can’t remember which one of my friends said that, but I think she may have been right. Another good cry movie would be One True Thing – the lady next to me in the theater actually asked if I was ok! hugs
Darn those boys anyway. I’ve just discovered your blog, so I don’t have the backstory… but a little bit of crying, writing him a letter you’ll never send, eating some chocolate, drinking some wine, and knitting something funky for yourself, preferably while hanging out with a bunch of sympathetic friends who know that you’re better off without him, but are really good at not making you feel worse about things… these are the things that ground and heal us.
Sorry about the breakup. Eat chocolate, go for a run, kill a bottle of wine. Rent “A river runs through it”, have a good cry, knit something great. Until Monday. Then go get somebody better.
