Thank you to everyone who left a comment or wrote about similar experiences. It really helps to hear from you! I've always said that the main benefit of blogging is the instant feedback you get from people all over the world, especially from people you've never met who don't owe you anything -- it's hard sometimes to say what you really mean face-to-face, but most people don't have a problem doing that online! I love that about the internet, and about our Knitblog community especially.
The update on the DMV drama is that the letter from the Federal Courthouse is on its way to me, and should be here on Tuesday or so. The bad news is that Monday is a federal holiday, so I clearly can't go back to the DMV on Monday, even if I had the letter by then. So this'll all have to wait until next week. But at least I feel like there's some progress!
On a completely different whinny note, it's been raining off and on for the last week. It was really warm, too, and all this crazy weather has caused my carpal tunnel and joint problems to flare up A LOT. Today I could barely get up from chairs without groaning. My hands hurt too much to knit at all, and having been on the computer for 5 minutes, they are already starting to go numb. Which is all too bad, because my next Chiagu pattern is written and sized, it just needs to be photographed and put up for sale. But that'll have to wait until this horrible weather front passes, as even overdoing it on the Aleve hasn't given me much relief today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
And, as reward for reading all my whinning, here's a picture I thought you might enjoy:
My first ID picture ever, taken when I was about 2 years old. I was pretty cute, huh? Check out that ruffled dress! We used to dress for goverment photos. . .
So adorable! Rest those hands. Take care of yourself.
That feed doesn’t work. I tried to subscribe and it says there is no feed?
Love the photo! Go give your hands a rest and take care.
Thank you for taking time to read and comment on my blog. I have enjoyed looking around your blog, too and signed your Frappr map. They are loads of fun.

Okay, that haircut is absolutely adorable. You look like a little doll baby!
Love the new background, btw. Koigu much?
