Back and under the weather
We're back from Brazil, and New York greeted us with cold weather, rain, and a crazy cabbie for the ride home from the airport. Welcome home to us!
We had a great trip, spending half of it hanging out at my parent's apartment and the other half in Rio, which I'd never been to before (well, once when I was 2 but I don't remember it!). This was the view from our hotel room:
It's stunning! I kept some of the window in the picture to prove it's a real picture, that's how perfect it was.
I had a lot of fun on the trip, got a little tan, ate tons of great food and spent time with my parents and relatives from Rio whom I'd never met before. It wasn't all fun though, because I spent way too much time being sick. I started to detail every little issue here, but decided it was TMI. The only remaining symptom that's bothering me now is occasional dizziness, which is probably nothing serious but it's really annoying. I hope that going back to my usual routine, diet, etc will make it go completely away, it's really no fun at all.

ugh, sorry to hear that you are/you were illin’. traveling always makes me sick somehow. whether it’s a cold or flu or just digestive difficulties. i wish it were easier! this is where teleporting would come in real handy :)
